I celebrated my birthday this past Sundy (July 25th) and it was an amazing one. I started the day by spending a few hours at the spa where I got an incredible (and much needed) massage and facial. After spending another few hours with my mom, I went to dinner with a few of my girlfriends. We laughed, we ate and just had a really good time. After dinner, we headed to the nightclub Quo in a limo. My friend nadia had it decked out with champagne, Raspberry Absolute and food...love that girl lol. When we got to the nightclub, my promoter friend Eddy (www.eddyshades.com) made sure we had a table and a bottle. We had a little too much fun there...lol...I'm honestly not going to spill the beans on what happened or post any increminating pictures of my friends but lets just say that a stripper pole was involved lol. I was really glad that my friends had a great time and so did I...I am a very lucky lady :-)

Oh and last night, Nadia threw me another bday party. It was just as nice. Alot of my old friends that I haven't seen in a while came through and bought me a cake and alot of alcohol...smh, my diet is completely ruined this week but its my birthday week so I guess I'm allowed lol

So my boutique opened about a month and a half ago (June 1st) and I absolutely love it! Its been alot of work and very stressful at times but it has been so worth it. I absolutely love everything about it...the location (Glen Cove is Awesome!), my customers, my employees Renee and Kat, and especially the merchandise!!!! I've always wanted a boutique, but I never thought that I would have one so young and I never thought that I would have a consignment store. After researching for several months and being offered an opportunity that I just could not pass up, I decided just to do it and I am so glad I did. Here are a few pics of my store :-)

Oh, I forgot ton mention...the really cool thing about my store is that we get tons (I mean tons) of new items EVERYDAY! For instance today we got in a pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses, a few dresses, bags and a couple of antique items for the home. Also, most of the items that we get in are either brand new with the tags still on them or gently used and have only been worn a few times. If you are ever in Glen Cove, make sure you stop by and say hi to me, Kat or Renee and I promise that you will find something in there that you will love!

So Ive been extremely busy lately doing a variety of things...i. e. photoshoots, makeup applications, decorating my new apartment, etc. But the thing that's been keepng me the busiest is my brand new store that I'm opening in Glen Cove, Long Island. The name is Samantha's Consignment Boutique and it is fabulous, if I do say so myself, lol.

My boutique will be a place where my customers can buy the most beautiful high-end fashion items ever made. My staff are experts who are curators of high-end consignment designer clothes, jewelry and accessories that will provide intelligent and objective fashion advice to ensure that our customers buy only what is right for her and her desired look.

At any one time, my boutique will be stocked with authenticated pieces from St.John, Dior, Chanel, D&G, Hermés, Bvlgari, Prada, Gucci, Armani, Cartier, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Chloé, Van Cleef and Arpel, YSL, Galiano as well as many other coveted labels found in exclusive brand name stores like Barney's and Neiman Marcus.

Not only do we carry clothing, we also carry bags, shoes, jewelry, small furniture, antiques, rugs, home decor and much more.

I am so super excited I can't even tell you! This has been a dream for me for such a long time and I can't believe that in about 2 weeks, this dream will be a reality! I am also working on a website which should be up soon. Of course I will be posting the website info and pics from the boutique here soon. Hopefully if you guys are on Long Island, you will be able to stop by and say hi :-)

xoxo

I'm training for my first 5k!!!!

I just started training for my very first 5k and im super excited. I've been going to my gym PTI, and been training with my trainer 3 times a week religiously, since August. I honestly hate working out...hate it! I'd rather be home, sitting on my couch, watching tv while eating a box of donuts...but alas, vanity has the best of me lol. The only way that I will work out is with a trainer and even though I hate it when im there, I love how I feel when I leave and Im definitely getting in great shape. Anyhow, a few members of my gym are participating in the Hance Family Foundation 5k Run on Saturday May 22nd, 2010 and because its such a great cause, I decided to sign up too. The Run will honor the memories of Emma, Alyson and Kate Hance, who died in a car accident on July 26th, 2009 at the ages of 8, 7, and 5 (remember the lady Diane Schuler who went the wrong way on the Taconic? Well the 3 little girls that died in that accident were her nieces and the daughters on one of PTI's member)...

Anyways, in addition to honoring the girls memories, the funds from the race will be used to support children’s endeavors, with an initial emphasis on serving the children of the Village of Floral Park, NY. If anyone is interested in learning more about the foundation, participating in the race or would like to donate, please visit these sites:

Massage Envy

So yesterday I woke up really, really sore and decided to get a massage. There is a Massage Envy right by my house so I decided to give it a try. I called them but they were booked so they suggested that I try another location such as Massapequa or Merrick. I decided to try Massapequa because they also offer facials (most Massage Envy don't). I called and set my appointment up (luckily they had one available in 15 mins) and rushed over there. I was greeted by a very nice and friendly receptionist who gave me a tour of the establishment and went over some paper work with me (all while giving me water and telling me how fabulous I looked....yes, I did go and get a massage while rocking cute jeans, a tank, stilettos and a pound of makeup...im a mess lol)...Anyways, I had the most fabulous time! I was given the best massage by Linda on a heated bed, with soothing music and dimmed lights. I swear that I dozed off and started snoring...how embarrassing lol! After my deep (and I do mean deep) tissue massage, I got dressed and was introduced to Lillian, my esthetician. I then went to a second room and had an amazing Enzyme facial. It felt unreal...and the bonus, she also gave me a massage.

After my facial, I decided to join Massage Envy and become a member. Membership is for 12 months and its only $49 a month and for that you get a free massage, ok its not free cause you pay $49 for it...but that is insane to me. A regular, non membership massage is $98 so u save 50%...no catch. All you are saying is that you will definiately get one massage a month from them. Knowing myself, I will be getting both a massage and facial AT LEAST once a month, if not more. The damage for the day? $108 for 2 blissful hours (plus tip of course). I highly recommend that you should give them a try. You can have a 1 hour introductory massage for $49 too (and $59 for the facial if they offer it)...with no commitment to join...

Massage:

Pro: Everything
Con: Too short (my fault, should have went with the hour and a half)

Facial:

Pro: My skin felt like heaven afterwards
Con: room was a bit cold even after I told the esthetician, she tried to turn the heat up but it didnt change. Also after the facial, I still had eye makeup on so my makeup wasn't removed properly and I had residue from the facial still on my skin. My lips were also dry

Even with the cons, it was still an amazing experience and I will definitely be back in 2 weeks lol
