Yesterday I attended a baby shower and this is what I wore. I was actually looking for this top at my local Target but it was sold out. Thank goodness a friend found it at hers and mailed it to me :D
So I was perusing on Yoga Journal (www.yogajournal.com) a few days ago and I saw their 21 day Yoga challenge and I decide to give it a try. I've always loved Yoga and I've always dreamt of being one of those cool Yogis that you see on TV or Instagram. However, for one reason or another, I could never stick with it. Whether its me going to a class or doing classes online (which is so much more convenient for someone like me who have a busy schedule) I just can't seem to stick with it. Well, since I've been doing so well and being consistent in the gym for the last few months, I decided to try this challenge and see if I could incorporate yoga into my daily life.
Well today was the first day of the challenge and I just did my first video (Oh I chose to do the intermediate track). I also did my first inversion afterwards. I originally tried a headstand (Sirsasana) and failed miserably so I did a shoulderstand (Sarvangasana) instead. Overall I feel great especially since I pulled a muscle in my leg today randomly and couldn't go to the gym. I will keep you all updated on how its going :) To check out the challenge...visit http://www.yogajournal.com/21daychallenge/
I've been so obsessed with this Peter Pilotto for Target Collection that when it launched last week, I rushed to my local Target to score my must have pieces. Unfortunately by the time I got there, most of the pieces that I wanted were already sold out. I was glad however to cop this floral top (and 2 dresses). I wore it yesterday for the first time to my day party at Stage 48 in NYC.
Glasses: unknown (I've had them for years and I can't remember where I bought them!)
Top: Peter Pilotto for Target
Vest: Citizen of Kincaid
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Loubi Rider
I know that we are in the middle of winter and snow is still on the ground here in New York (and it will snow again tomorrow) but my mind is already on Spring! If you know me, you know I loveeeeeee shoes! So of course when thinking about Spring and what I want to add to my wardrobe, the first thing that came to mind are what shoes I will be adding! Here are a few that I am currently lusting after. Hopefully I will be adding at least 1 or 2 to my closet soon (if you hover your mouse over each one you will see the info).
I've been toying with the idea of doing crochet braids for quite some time now and last Thursday I decided on a whim to just do it and you know what? I absolutely love it! I wanted to wait because today is my official 1 year anniversary of being natural (I big chopped without transitioning at all) and I wanted to straighten my hair so that I could do an official length check. I decided against it though because when I did straighten my hair back in December, I got a lot of heat damage and didn't want to make it any worst. I am actually thinking of going heat free for the entire year but we will see if that happens lol.
Anyways like I said, I am loving this style. I used 3 packs of Freetress Water Wave hair and it took about 3-3.5 hours to do. I've been getting tons of compliments on it and love how I don't have to struggle with my hair on a daily basis anymore. All I do is oil my scalp once a day with my Jamaican Castor Oil, spray my S-Curl moisturizer on my braids and wear my bonnet at night..That's it! I think I will be rocking crochet braids as my protective style for the next few months :)
Until next time,
(Part 2 coming soon)
It's been so cold here in NY lately and we got snow AGAIN yesterday. Today I made sure I bundled up in my new Via Spiga coat and one of my favorite booties from Christian Louboutin. Hopefully it will be warm soon...fingers crossed!

The weather here in NY is seriously bi-polar. One day it could be freezing and snowing and the next, 60 degrees. Well today was one of the nicer days and this is what I wore.
