So yesterday I woke up really, really sore and decided to get a massage. There is a Massage Envy right by my house so I decided to give it a try. I called them but they were booked so they suggested that I try another location such as Massapequa or Merrick. I decided to try Massapequa because they also offer facials (most Massage Envy don't). I called and set my appointment up (luckily they had one available in 15 mins) and rushed over there. I was greeted by a very nice and friendly receptionist who gave me a tour of the establishment and went over some paper work with me (all while giving me water and telling me how fabulous I looked....yes, I did go and get a massage while rocking cute jeans, a tank, stilettos and a pound of makeup...im a mess lol)...Anyways, I had the most fabulous time! I was given the best massage by Linda on a heated bed, with soothing music and dimmed lights. I swear that I dozed off and started snoring...how embarrassing lol! After my deep (and I do mean deep) tissue massage, I got dressed and was introduced to Lillian, my esthetician. I then went to a second room and had an amazing Enzyme facial. It felt unreal...and the bonus, she also gave me a massage.

After my facial, I decided to join Massage Envy and become a member. Membership is for 12 months and its only $49 a month and for that you get a free massage, ok its not free cause you pay $49 for it...but that is insane to me. A regular, non membership massage is $98 so u save 50%...no catch. All you are saying is that you will definiately get one massage a month from them. Knowing myself, I will be getting both a massage and facial AT LEAST once a month, if not more. The damage for the day? $108 for 2 blissful hours (plus tip of course). I highly recommend that you should give them a try. You can have a 1 hour introductory massage for $49 too (and $59 for the facial if they offer it)...with no commitment to join...

Massage:

Pro: Everything
Con: Too short (my fault, should have went with the hour and a half)

Facial:

Pro: My skin felt like heaven afterwards
Con: room was a bit cold even after I told the esthetician, she tried to turn the heat up but it didnt change. Also after the facial, I still had eye makeup on so my makeup wasn't removed properly and I had residue from the facial still on my skin. My lips were also dry

Even with the cons, it was still an amazing experience and I will definitely be back in 2 weeks lol
