Rimmel Glam’Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara Review

I was at CVS (like always!) a few days ago and I picked up a Rimmel Glam’Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara because it was on sale from $7.49 to $2.50. I figured since I am always on the hunt for a great mascara, I might as well give it a try and you know what? I'm really impressed.

What I really like about this mascara the most is the wand. Its more like a comb that keeps your lashes separated and clump free. Rimmel boasts that this mascara will make your lashes 80% longer. Well, Im not so sure about that but it definitely lengthens mine and add some volume. It's also very buildable so you can keep adding coats upon coats to get the desired effect without worrying about your lashes looking a mess.

All in all I would recommend this product and I would definitely purchase it again (especially if its on sale!)

CVS Stop..The Color Workshop and Nexxus Humectress 2-for-1

I love CVS...no, I mean I really, really love CVS. It's definitely one of my favorites store and a guilty pleasure of mine. So today on my daily trip (yeah, you read that right...daily lol) I came across 2 items that I just simply could not resist. Actually it was four items...technically. The first item is a set that includes both the Nexxus Humectress shampoo AND conditioner for only $16.99!!! Now, I'm not at product junkie at all. I feel if somethings not broken, don't fix it especially when it comes to my hair. I currently use Organic Root Stimulator as my deep conditioner and Suave Humestress as my shampoo but honestly, I've been secretly dying to try the Nexxus conditioner but because its normally so pricey, I usually pass on it. But today, after seeing that I could try both for one price, I immediately grabbed it up. Tomorrow is my wash day, so I will try them out and hopefully they don't disappoint (don't you just hate when that happen? when you've been so hyped about a product and it just let you down?).

The second items that I got was the Eye Collection Kit by The Color Workshop in Browns, Greys and Blues. I was talked into buying them by a sales person after she saw that I was eyeing them. I figured that since they were only $4.99 each, why not give them a try. Let me start off by saying that these were the worst makeup that I have ever tried and I'm a Makeup Artist, so you know I've tried more makeup than the average person. First off, even with primer, the eyeshadows do not show up. They are also very chalky and flaky. I opened only one pencil in the Blue kit and the tip immediately broke off then crumbled in my hands. The only thing that was decent was the eyeliner. I knew that I shouldn't have been shocked that these were so bad, especially because of the price but I am. I use NYX and ELF, both pretty cheap brands but with superior quality makeup. These kits are sub-par and I would never, ever recommend that anyone buy them. I will be returning them first thing tomorrow on my next daily visit :-)

Product Review: Trader Joe's All Natural Peppermint Toothpaste

I was in Trader Joe's last week doing my weekly grocery shopping when I realized that I was almost out of toothpaste. Now, I'm a CVS junkie..I buy all my little essentials from there but because I was so tired and didn't feel like making an additional stop, I decided to pick one up from TJ. What a Mistake!!! This toothpaste is just horrible. First off, the texture is so hard that it falls right off of the toothbrush. After you brush, it also leaves this weird after taste in your mouth. I didn't feel "minty" fresh and throughout the day I was feening to brush my teeth again. My boyfriend tried it also and he HATED it. On my way home from my store that day, I stopped at CVS, grabbed my usual Colgate and proceeded to throw TJ's peppermint toothpaste in the garbage..right where it belonged. I do not recommend this toothpaste at all.

Me on my way to throw this toothpaste out, smh
