Yesterday, Alicia Keys debut her jewelry line (inconjucntion with jewelry designer Gisèle Theriault) The Barber's Daughter at a pop up shop at Collette Blanchard Gallery at 26 Clinton Street here in NYC. The collection of sterling silver and gemstone pieces features poetry and prayers of Masaru Emoto, the author of “The Hidden Messages in Water” inscribed on them. “The inspiration of The Barber’s Daughters is to provide tools for people to connect to their intangible beauty and strength,” said Theriault. The line of necklaces retail from $85 to $2,500 and is also sold on thebarbersdaughters.com.
“I fell in love with the individuality of the pieces, but more than that, the words that were written on them really resonated with the songwriter in me,” said Keys. “I knew at that moment, for the first time, that through a whole other medium I would be able to spread inspiration and that’s what got me started.”
Here is a sample of the line...

Sean “Diddy” Combs will be making his debut on the HSN network Monday, November 30th from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. on behalf of his I Am King and Unforgivable fragrances. His two-hour segment will be about Diddy "sharing his beliefs behind his fragrances, why he developed them and what are the reference points.” The set will be built like a homey, living-room feeling reminiscent of a talk show in HSN’s St. Petersburg, Fla., studio.
I'm curious to see how he does because typically people like to smell fragrances before buying them, but it's Diddy..and he could probably sell ice to eskimos. Both him and HSN are hoping to break the $400,000 mark in retail sales during the two hour show and I have a strong feeling they will.

Gap announced last Thursday that designer Stella McCartney will be designing a second line for GapKids and BabyGap following the extremely successful debut of her first collection for the retail giant, which launched this past fall. The Spring 2010 collection is expected to launch in March 2010 and will be available at select GapKids and babyGap stores as well www.gap.com. If you are like me and are a little bit jealous that Stella isn't doing an adult line for Gap, here is something that might make you feel a little better.

Stella McCartney and Gap just released a (PRODUCT) RED Stella T featuring a deep v-neckline and print necklace graphics on the white tee. The Stella T retail for $28 and is currently available at gap.com. Half the profits from Gap (PRODUCT) RED styles go directly to the global fund to fight AIDS. Looking fab and for a good cause? Can't beat that!

Ebay, one of the biggest online retail stores, opened its first holiday store on friday at 3 West 57th St here in NYC. The 5,500 square feet pop up shop features retail items such as L.A.M.B. shoes, handbags from Michael Kors and Doone & Burke, Anthropologie dresses, MAC Cosmetics, Norma Kamali’s exclusive fashions for eBay and more.
There is also electronics, toys, home and garden items but even more fabulous is the fact that shoppers have access to the entire eBay marketplace using their Internet kiosks, handheld tablets and the eBay mobile phone application. Nice! The store will be open everyday (except Thanksgiving) until Nov. 29th and they will even be giving out a “daily deal” to the first 100 shoppers who visit the store on Black Friday.

When I went down to the Bahama's last month, the genius in me packed everything except a pair of shorts. Luckily I was in Miami first and on our way to the ship I realized that I didn't have any and my aunt and I made a quick pit stop to Walmart to pick up a pair. Honestly, I don't shop at walmart for clothes...actually this was the first time. I was really happy when I found these cute green shorts and even happier when they were $7!!! Jackpot, lol. I wore them one night while I was alcohol shopping and paired them with my cute golden top from Express and Guess slippers.

I have a million black dresses (actually 99% of my wardrobe is either grey or black..boring I know but don't judge me lol)...This is by far my favorite tho. I honestly can't remember where I bought it but it was probably some random lil boutique here in the city (the tag is gone because of numerous trips to the washing machine). The shoes I absolutely love..I bought them back in July when I was in Philly for a show for my makeup line at a vintage shop. My clutch is by Bijoux Terner and its the chicest thing ever...loves it!

For Halloween me and my girls Nerissa, Ty and Shirley were sexy French Maids...not my first choice (I wanted to be a True Blood vampire) but I was the one who thought the idea would be cute and the girls agreed...we had a great time that night...
