New Hair Cut

Last week I decided to visit my mom and little sister's hairstylist for an old school press and curl (I've been going to a dominican hairstylist to do it weekly but I had to take a few weeks off because my hair was breaking due to all that heat). I went in and the stylist Yvonne washed and trimed my hair (I deep conditioned it overnight). I asked her to give me bangs to change up my look and this is the result. I absolutely love my hair like this and I've been getting tons of compliment on it. Oh and the best part? My press lasted all week. I think that I could have stretched it to last a little bit longer but I'm use to washing my hair 1 to 2xs a week. I think that I will be going to get my hair pressed by Yvonne every week because she does an amazing job and does not use that much heat. Plus she is very gentle...and my hair stays straighter longer than it ever did going to my old Dominican salon.

I should be ashamed of myself for not blogging for so long but you know how hectic life gets. I've been having an amazing few months..been traveling (to Cali and Spain..still haven't even uploaded those pics to my computer yet smh), partying (alot) and just been enjoying life. Anyways, can you believe that its 2012 already??? Neither can I. Last year was definitely memorable. I lost love and then found it...I lost a few friends..but gained a few more. I celebrated my store's one year anniversary, turned 30 (gasp!) and a whole lot more. I know that everyone makes resolutions for the new year and so did I. Mine is pretty simple tho..I want to be a better friend, girlfriend, boss, business owner, daughter, sister, Christian...in no particular order. Basically I just want to continue to grow as an individual and be a better version of myself everyday. That's it..

Oh and by the way I celebrated new years by going to a suite party at the Trump Soho with my boyfriend and a few friends and it was fabulous! I took a whole bunch of pictures but Im still extremely private when it comes to my romantic life so I won't be posting them (maybe if I ever get engaged or married lol) but the above pic was taken by my boyfriend when we were about to leave. My new 1940's Vintage Wool and Fox Fur Coat

Ok let me start by saying that I've never bought a real fur item...ever! Yes, a little because I'm an animal lover but more so because the thought of having a dead animals fur on my body always freaked me out honestly lol. Well today I was in my store, Samantha's Consignment, in Glen Cove and I started looking for a winter coat and I decided to try this one on for the hell of it..and you know what? I fell in love. Please believe that this lousy Blackberry photo does it NO justice. It fits me like a glove and is so classic and sexy in a very understated way..I had to buy it..I just had to *sigh*
